Project Description
6th Edition of the International Meeting on Ionic Liquids for Electrochemical Devices
These dates have been selected to favour correlation with the 69th Annual Meeting of the International Society of Electrochemistry. Both events can thus be attended, moving from Bologna to Rome in the beautiful late-summer period. For the first time, the meeting will be located in the fascinating historical center of Rome, only a few steps away from Fontana di Trevi, one of the masterpieces of the Baroque architecture.
The ILED Meetings are dedicated to the diverse aspects of the electrochemical applications of Ionic Liquids, including batteries, fuel cells, supercapacitors, actuators and photo-electrochemical cells. Due to the growing interest of the research community in this important class of materials, this year ILED-6 opens to other fields where Ionic Liquids can play a significant role, such as electrodeposition, electrochromism, biochemical applications, cultural heritage, and others. Also, fundamental theoretical and experimental studies aimed at elucidating the structure and the stability issues of Ionic Liquids are welcome.
The previous editions of ILED have seen the participation of more than 100 scientists from all over the world, who came to Rome to present their work and share their results with the scientific community in this field. An even higher number is expected for this 2018 edition. Thus, ILED-6 is an occasion that cannot be missed for all those involved in the basic science and technological applications of Ionic Liquids.
